In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (e) of Section 2 of the Apprentices Act, 1961 (52 of 1961), and after consultation with the Central Apprenticeship Council, the Central Government hereby specifies the following trades or occupations or subject fields in engineering and technology as designated trades for the purposes of the Act, namely: ---
1. Knitting technology, 2. Secretarial commercial practice, 3. Interior decoration, 4. Library science, 5. Costume design and Dress making / Garment technology, 6. Fine art / Sculpture / Commercial art.
